Meet Carrie Hiler, a Sophomore Business major at Goshen College. Carrie is a member of the Women’s Basketball team and has been playing basketball since the 3rd grade. It was love at first swish, she knew immediately that the sport was going to play a large role in her life. Carrie has worked hard to get to the collegiate level and is proud that in her first year she was able to earn her way into the starting lineup.

Carrie’s performance during each game begins with her level of preparation each week. The amount of hours she puts in through team practices, getting up extra shots, and working on specific drills/situations is a testament to why her teammates and coaches trust her so much to step in and play tough-smart basketball. Carrie’s training intensity and frequency means she requires apparel that can withstand the grit and grind each time out and be ready to go for the next session. She values athletic wear that is lightweight and breathable. With how active she needs to be for her sport, Carrie wants clothing with proper airflow to help her stay as cool as possible.

When she’s not on the court, Carrie enjoys spending time outdoors. Her family has a cattle farm and also produces a lot of hay, so tending to the livestock and ensuring things are operating smoothly are her non-basketball responsibilities. Family and faith are extremely important to Carrie and are her two greatest motivators to keep striving for greatness each day. Some fun facts about Carrie are: her favorite food is cheese (just about all of 'em). Her favorite singer is Zach Top, and her favorite sports team is the Golden State Warriors. With the Chef being her favorite player (obviously).
